and nearly a week down already!! Sure have been busy though, so not much time for scrapping this week. We had a lovely girly, scrapping day at Jo's house last Thursday and I ended the holidays with a mini working bee in the backyard with my Dad on Friday. I had ideas of a quick trip to the dump (I can't reverse a trailer, so asked Dad to come along just in case) but 5 hours later and after major tree trimming and two trips to the dump we called it a day ~ only because I had a Vets appointment. We could have taken another load to the dump, but that will have to wait a few weeks!! The weekend was nice and quiet before returning to work, with a yummy Italian dinner and a bonfire at the Gills.
On the scrapping front I have completed a layout for the sketch challenge at Scrapping Outback:
and I have also completed my Scrap the Boys August layout which will be revealed in a few days.
I have a scrappy weekend ahead. We are heading of to Tocal for our regular scrapping get away. Love these weekends ~ all we do is scrap, eat, sleep and talk and after we arrive and unpack we don't have to pack up until we are leaving ~ pure bliss! I have lots packed to work on.
Off to bed as the next two nights will be late ones.

Q1 Continued................................
i have finally completed my Lorie Valley layouts from the Kaisercraft Q1 range. I actually found these papers to be a bit challenging, but I am happy at last with these layouts:
These kits are great value and with the additional 5% discount being offered at Love Scrappin they are retailing well under recommended prices, but stock is limited.
I had another lovely, social day with some of the girls from work. We lunched at the Mill Restaurant at Tuscany Resort in Pokolbin and it was superb.I have been very fortunate to have indulged in several excellent meals this holiday!! I can also totally recommend the David Hookes Sauvignon Blanc (David Hookes Cellar door is located at Pepper Creek)~ very moorish indeed!!
Another girly day scrapping tomorrow ~ woohoo.
Blogger is not playing nice, so I'll be back to edit with photos tomorrow.
Cheers.........Leanne

Geez............................
time flies when you're having fun and on holidays!! Where has the last 10 days disappeared too?? I really don't have much to show for that time. I did attend the NSW Teachers Federation Annual Conference at Darling Harbour for 3 days, so that's OK, but the rest of the time has literally disappeared!!
Other points of note for the last few days include:
Wednesday: Catching up after a hectic end of term and three days away in Sydney
Thursday: shopping and luch with m mum and her 2 sisters ~ a holiday tradition.
Friday: Lunch with the Gills and Wisemans, to celebrate Gilly's 40th birthday, at another vineyard eatery "Tatler". Tatler specialise in a tapas menu and it is absolutely fabulous. Tatler is fast becoming my favourite lunch destination. I would really like to have a very long lunch one day and slowly work my way through the menu!!
Saturday: DP's 45th birthday. We had a gorgeous dinner at one of the local vineyard restaurants "The Cellar" at Hunter Valley Gardens to celebrate. Totally recommend this restaurant for a special dinner or lunch.
We also started the backyard spring clean, my muscles are a bit sore as a result of that effort, but it looks so much better. Another result of that effort is that Riley has adopted a bunch of snails ~ great!!! Although I do have some lovely Sassafrass Lass papers with snails that would look great, now to get a decent photo!!
I have started working on my layouts for Love Scrappin and just waiting for the OK from Suz to load images here. Planning to do some more scrapping this afternoon.
My ten days in a nutshell.
Off to scrap now

July Scrap the Boys.............................
challenge is up.I have been so tired and busy with work in recent weeks that I completely forgot to load the challenge and announce that I am remaining on the Scrap the Boys Design Team for another term.
July Challenge
“Real Men (or Boys) don’t…”
Whether you have heard the saying or not I would like you to take inspiration from the saying “real men don’t eat quiche” for this months layout.
Basically I would like you to create a layout capturing your boys doing things that may be the most masculine…so a little bit on the "girly" side...you know maybe it is a secret thing for pink, them in some girly dress-ups, makeup, flowers in there hair… we all have those photos that you think “hmmm that will be a good one for their 21st birthday party…lol”
Anyway now is the time to drag them out and put them on paper…If you don’t have any photos maybe you could journal about it instead…document it before it is forgotten.
Criteria is to start your title with “real men (or boys) don’t….” (mind pink; look bad in heels…etc)
And my interpretation of the challenge:
I really wasn't sure just what photos I would use for this challenge, but when Riley started goofing off after a shower in my frilly shower cap I knew the perfect photos were about to be captured!!
Holidays start here in NSW tomorrow ~ WOOHOO!! Only 6 hours to go!! I am heading to Sydney to attend the NSW Teachers Federation Annual Conference at Darling Harbour for acouple of days and then it will be relax, relax, relax!! I have a lunch date, dinner and movie date and a massage booked ~ lots of me time activities and of course there will be some scrapping!!
So happy hols if you are in NSW and see you when I get back next week

My Sketch World July Sketch
has been released and it's a 2-pager this month. There will only be one layout sketch for the month of July due to the DT call that is currently underway. Any how, here's the sketch:
and here's my interpretation:
This is my last DT interpretation for the time being, I haven't reapplied for the DT, just need a little break.
I now need to go and start checking 226 Year 8 half yearly reports for errors.
