Why.................

is it that holidays just zoom by. It only seems like yesterday that we were having end of term drinks, but a week and a half has passed already. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm ~ really not fair. So what have I been doing with the break ~ definitely NO school work, although I can't put that off for too much longer, scrapping, a few days in Sydney, and generally catching up.
So a quick holiday round up:
Monday: scrapping with Liana while the boys played
Tuesday: quite day, cleaned up my computer, installed new software
Wednesday: visited Nyree and the gorgeous Scout, with the girls
Thursday: shopping with Mum and the aunties
Friday: Sydney ~ we took a lunch harbour cruise on a tallship ~ absolutely gorgeous and it stopped raining for the duration of the cruise,

wandered around The Rocks and then walked from The Rocks to our hotel at the top of haymarket ~ Riley was fabulous and walked all the way despite being offered to catch a train several times. Dinner at Chinatown.
Saturday: Steve caught the train to the airport to pick up Nirvana (oh joy ~ NOT!!!). Then we went down to Darling Harbour and toured the Endeavour. Riley was in photo mood, so got a couple of crackers ~ can't wait to scrap these:

Lunch at Darling Harbour and then we headed home.

Let's Scrap Cybercrop was Saturday night and my job was to set a sketch challenge. This was my example:

Sunday: quite day at home washing and scrapping. Finished my Potion Commotion Spell #3:

and worked on Sam's sketch challenge from the cybercrop:

Monday: scrapping with Liana again. Riley and Isaac had a wonderful day playing.
Tuesday: Kaszazz workshop at my house. We learned a technique to make a waterfall album. Serious discussion with Nirvana regarding her behaviour after her Xmas visit ~ that made for an interesting evening.
Today: lunch with my ex-colleagues from Singleton. We went to Nightingale's Wines and had a totally delicious meal ~ just perfect ~ good food, good wine and excellent company ~ a perfect day actually.
Tomorrow: off to Sydney, early with Liana to collect a variety of goods for the new house.
So only a few more days to complete some challenges that I want to do. I have also signed up for the Mystical DT challenge comp which starts on Sunday.

Exciting News.........................

just had myself accepted onto the Design Team of a new challenge blog ~ We Challenge You (link in sidebar) ~ very, very excited. Michelle (blog owner) is very organised and has the roster organised for the remainder of the year. Each DT member rotates through layouts, cards and OTP each month ~ great variety! My first challenge is an OTP ~ stay tuned for a sneak.
Finally felt like scrapping again after suffering end of term weariness and a minor dose of the flu, and have done my layout for the Let's Scrap Cybercrop on Saturday evening. Just a tiny sneak peak:

In the past week I have also managed to completed the following layouts for Mystical Scrapbooks:
Potion Commotion Spell #2

Colour Challenge #1

Sketch Challenge #1

Monthly Challenge

Journaling Challenge #1

and lastly my March Calendar layout for Scrapworld:

Goals for the next couple of days include finishing my Let's Scrap challenge layouts and DT pack layouts and teaching myself how to make professional looking sketches in Photoshop.

Been Scrapping

Despite a busy weekend I have managed to complete a few more layouts. First is my week 1 entry in the new comp at Mystical Scrapbooks ~ Mystical Potion Commotion. The challenges are in the form of Spells and the first was about fairies:

The Mystical April cybercrop was also held over the weekend and I managed to complete the first two challenges:

In other news I went to Sydney to see "SHOUT" at Star City ~ absolutely fabulous. Totally enjoyed this production.
Just counting down the hours now until the holidays begin on Friday ~ I am so tired and so need tis break. We have a strike tomorrow morning and my school is hosting Battle of the Bands on Thursday, so that should make the time slip in quickly.
Cheers

Let's Scrap DT layouts

These are my most recent DT layouts for Let's Scrap:

Both feature Riley enjoying the surf at Hallidays Point over the January long weekend.
I have received the next DT pack from Mel and it is gorgeous ~ featuring new Fancy Pants papers. Can't wait to get started on it.
Next Let's Scrap Cybercrop is 19th April, 2008 7pm.

WOO HOO.........................

to me!! I WON the Music Madness competition over at Mystical Scrapbooks, and the prize....................... a $100 hamper of scrapping goodies. I was totally stunned, and it feels a bit special as the layouts were voted on by other members of the forum.
This past week has been manic. After Easter I had one day back at work and then off to Year 7 camp for three days. On arriving home, exhausted, on Friday afternoon DP informed me that we would be having house guests for the weekend. I was not amused to say the least. Saturday morning we headed to Maitland for a birthday party, then home to tidy just before the visitors arrived. My frame of mind had markedly improved (thank heavens!!) and we had a really nice evening. Sunday we headed out to the local wineries and had a really delightful day. Despite all that I have managed to do some scrapping this past week.I completed 2 more layouts for the Stuck! sketch site:

and a layout for the Monthly challenge at Mystical Scrapbooks:
