I've been...............................

scrapping!! I've had a lovely scrappy weekend and managed to complete my projects for Scrapping Outbacks Mini Masters. Project #3 was a mini album and I chose to finally scrap last years Xmas photos:
The Cover
and a few favourite pages:

and the back cover:Project #4 was to only use the contents of a kit:
I have also finished my Scrap the Boys . The new challenge and Design Team interpretations will be released shortly and then I will upload here.

I am actually off work sick today. Feeling very secondhand with a nasty head cold and pinched nerve in my shoulder and have basically spent the morning dosing on the lounge and surfing the net. I have been intrigued by the world of mixed media art for some time and clicking on one simple link has led me to a whole new world. I have found a variety of online workshops to get things kick started, so stay tuned, although I am going to wait until the next holidays so I can play uninterrupted.

Ok, off to take more cold & flu tablets and rest some more.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh................................

it's feeling like SPRING!!! Oh and how good does that feel??? Absolutely fabulous!!! We are experiencing gorgeous weather at the moment and I just feel so much better than in the winter.

I have been doing a little blog hopping and found these two kit sites which look awesome:

What Is Old is New Kits
and
Scraptapestry

both worth a look. I'm especially loving the embellishment kits.

Have a great day

Another Week.............................

has literally zipped by!! It's been a busy, but relaxing week all rolled into one. Nothing out of the ordinary in the early part of the week and then another three day camp over Wed, Thur, Fri. This was our schools Cultural Camp for indigenous students and it was really enjoyable. Even though we were busy with the kids, it was different to being at school in the classroom and really relaxing. Fortunately going away with the kids from my school is a pleasant experience and they sleep!!!

The kids were kept busy by a variety of Aboriginal artisans and dancers, and took part in a range of activities to promote the indigenous culture.

Not much on the scrapping front due to being away (and tired) when I got home yesterday, but I did manage to complete my double layout for the Scrapping Outback mini Masters comp:

I'm currently working on my mini album, so best be off. Have a great weekend.

Layouts

I have finally got around to photographing a couple of layouts I have been working on over the past week. The first is my monochromatic entry in the Scrapping Outback Mini Masters

Tha next two are "just because I could" layouts

This has been a lovely weekend. Soccer yesterday morning followed by a day of pottering at home. Today I spent a few hours at a fundraising crop organised by my buddy and I came home really motivated to scrap and that's how I have spent my afternoon. I have been working on a double layout for the Scrapping Outback Mini Masters and hopefully will have it finished to load up tomorrow evening. But I need to get off here and finish marking my exam papers first!!

Okay off to mark (it's the one aspect of my job that I really don't like!!)

August ...........................

challenge at Scrap the Boys is up.

Master Chef
This month I would like you to pull out those photos of your boys with food…they could be cooking, eating, harvesting…whatever as long as food is involved it qualifies.

The second criteria for the challenge is to use a cooking term in your title…here are some ideas…stir, steam, whip, beat, heat, pipe, knead, cut, chop…etc.

And my interpretation:

I've had a lovely weekend away scrapping with the girls, although I didn't get much done (only 2 layouts and started a mini album) due to a nagging head cold, but it was still nice to be away and just relax with good company. Thanks girls!!

Another busy week ahead with my 2 Year 12 classes siting their trial HSC exams ~ only 8 weeks of lessons left after the exams eeeeek, so I'm off to check out the August challenges at my favourites places and then head to bed.
